Cessna Flyer Association Member Benefits
Our parts locating service goes beyond a simple scan of a database, we dig deeper to locate those hard to find parts or find them at a better price. No one else provides this service the way we do.
Here's an example: A member with a 1972 180 was searching for a better price for the carburetor/airbox assembly. He’d found one new for $6,000. We found a slightly cheaper price for a new unit, but kept looking and found a salvaged unit for about $500.00 from Air Salvage of Dallas. We’ve located a seat track housing for a 172, a pilot yoke and a tool used to check the gear door tension just to name a few.
When you contact us with a technical question, you tap into a network of experts throughout the aviation industry - people who have experience flying and fixing your model of Cessna. You’ll always be treated with friendly respect; there are no stupid questions here.
The Cessna Flyer Association delivers the best type club magazine—bar none—to our members’ and prospects’ doorsteps each month. We feature quality, first-run material that is available nowhere else. Every issue of the magazine is a must-read for our members—they tell us they read it cover to cover.
Our mix of technical articles and destination articles, historical pieces, flight reviews and commentary from leading aviation writers appeals to every Cessna owner.
Technical how-tos keep "the gears turning" and the Cessnas flying. Destination articles cover fun places for a $100 Hamburger run or an extended stay. Pilot reports and product reviews help members keep up with the latest products and services.
Cessnaflyer.org contains an archive of all of our magazine articles, a listing of Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives and safety alerts, a product directory called the Cessna Yellow Pages, plus an events calendar, sponsored vendor content, a knowledge base, our library of member photographs and videos and forums...
Our online forum is a great source for question-and-answer interaction and an excellent way to converse with other members, the CFA staff and contributing editors. We have a forum moderator to assist with getting you timely answers. Meet and socialize with other members, and learn what’s going on in the industry through fast-paced forum communication. Come visit the forums.
Our Gathering at Waupaca is an annual event held near Oshkosh, Wis. the weekend before EAA AirVenture. You’ll meet other Cessna owners and pilots, listen to presentations given by aviation experts, win prizes, and attend a banquet. The Gathering is your best opportunity to meet your association’s staff, vendors, experts and other members in-person.
